the seminal fusion band made a triumphant return after 25 years and received a hero's
welcome. Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Al DiMeola and Lenny White in Return to Forever
were arguably the premier fusion band of their time. They inspired countless musicians
and opened a lot of ears to the wonderful world of jazz fusion. This was my 6th time
seeing this lineup and it's because of them that I've been a fusion fan for 35 years!
After 25 years apart they decided to give it another go and it was worth the wait. I never
thought this day would come. Collectively and individually these guys are cream of the
crop. The turnout was more like what you'd expect at a rock concert. Not bad for a
band with no vocals! Thank You Return to Forever for giving us fans another night of
great memories and for letting the music do the talking!
