performing with the band NIACIN. For those of you who are familiar with Dennis,
I don't need to say anything. For those of you who are not familiar with Dennis,
I cannot say enough! Depending on your musical tastes, he is one of the absolute
best drummers you will ever see or never see. I may rave about certain bass players,
guitar players, keyboard players, etc, but I don't play those instruments and will never
fully understand the complexities and nuances of those instruments, but I do play
drums and Dennis is just an amazingly phenomenal drummer. He leaves the drummers
in the audience with their jaws on the floor muttering things like, "hell, I quit!" or
"man, it is just not fair!"
I have seen Dennis numerous times with different bands and the reaction is always
the same, people shaking their heads in disbelief or staring in awe. He can lay down
a catfish-funky in-the-pocket groove or turn into a blazing, thunderous powerhouse.
Yeah, you can say I am overstating his talents, but if you ever get to see this guy in
action like I have, you will know exactly what I'm talking about!
Oh yeah...don't forget to bring your smelling salts!!!
